Here ye, here ye!
Hello friends.  I have been MIA from the Tumblr world for far too long now.  But for good reason!  I am now OFFICIALLY employed by Yelp.com.  I wish I could pull a Maria Van Trapp and sing it from the hilltops of Austria.
I’m so excited to finally integrate my love for all things food, with my constant need & want to be speaking with people.  I am no longer able to write Yelp reviews (WAHHH) but plan to transition this blog to be my own personal review site, if you will.
Stay tuned!

True or False

Lobster rolls > Crab cakes

Thoughts?

Last night I had full intentions of taking my 1.5 hour long Bikram yoga class.

Instead?  I watched 4 hours worth of wedding videos while eating a whole sleeve of thin mints and crying my eyes out.

I signed up for a cooking class at Eataly in NYC.  Yes, me.  No, you are not hallucinating.  All you need to know:

-  I didn’t cook anything.
- It was artichoke themed (!)
- I drank too much.

All in all = success.

Ajna Bar: 3 STARS
[NYC]

Dear Ajna Bar,I REALLY wanted to give you 4 stars.  I actually initially wanted to give you 5, but alas, it has to be 3.First things first, I think they should have stuck with the name Buddha Bar.  Maybe that’s a silly thing to say, but the name is just so much catchier, especially because there are approximately 2938432049 buddha statues when you walk in.This place is beautiful. Dark sexy lighting, intimate couches; totally perfect for a date; especially if you’re in the mood to make out in public, but not TOO public.  We had some delicious mango vodka drink which I loved. Our reservations were for 9pm on a Friday night.  We got there a bit early and they asked us to sit in the lounge until our table was ready.  This was fine until about 9:15.  By 9:30 my review sadly dropped one star.  Finally we were seated and the food was great!  Not super memorable, but everything was really well done and beautifully prepared.  Our waiter was very nice, but VERY slow.  I don’t really think it was his fault, I think they just need to hire more people immediately.  So…there goes another star.  We had the molten chocolate cake for dessert, and my review started to lean back up towards 4 stars.  Then it took the dude approximately 45 hours to bring us our check, and back to 3 stars we go.Overall ambience and quality of food was great- I will definitely be back.Side note:  I am still angry about Nobu Next Door Restaurant Week.  I just have to say- at Ajna we got more food, had a better time, spent longer there, and spent LESS money.  AND it wasn’t RW!  Sickening.  I’m going to start a petition to boycott that damn place.Love,Me
